This is a song that  I wrote in 2005 to participate in a Christmas song contest in Haiti (Konkou chante Nwèl Telemax). The song depicts the story of one of my HIV positive patients that I was treating back in 2004 in Boucan Carre, Haiti. In December 2004 my patient told me: “Doctor, while many people are asking Santa Claus for a new house, or a new car, or lots of money, or gold and diamonds and the kids are expecting beautiful toys, me all that I am asking Santa is health and good and reliable access to Antiretrovirals so that I can be able to get better, stand up and walk home”. He was questioning himself on the mode of transmission of HIV and how he was potentially infected. I was extremely touched by his statements and I told him that I wanted to write a song about his story. He authorized me to share his story with the world. Unfortunately this patient, who became my friend, died of HIV/AIDS in July 2005. I was extremely saddened by his death. I didn’t win the song contest, but I was extremely happy that I could write the song and share his story.

Good people, HIV is real. We all have a role to play in its treatment, prevention and control. Enjoy this music video and don’t forget to have a special thought to all those suffering with HIV/AIDS during this Christmas season.

Merry Christmas to all my family, friends and fans.  Throughout 2015 I was blessed to have you in my life. I was particularly blessed toward the end of the year when my wife delivered our beautiful baby girl, Jayna. I want to thank God specially for that blessing.

Dear family, friends and fans please remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. Hence, keep Him within your families, keep Him in your heart and keep Him around you.

World AIDS Day

December 1st is World AIDS Day. The whole month of December is World AIDS Month. Actually every month of the year and every day of every month is World AIDS Day. People can discriminate against HIV/AIDS but HIV/AIDS doesn’t discriminate against anyone. Everyone can experience the hard reality of HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS hits in Boucan Carre and Circa-La-Source in poor, remote and neglected rural Haiti. It hits in rural Burundi, and in rural Malawi in Africa. However HIV/AIDS also hits in Los Angeles, California in Hollywood. It hits in the film industry and in the National Basket Association (NBA) – two industries in the US where billions of dollars are being managed. So HIV/AIDS is everyone business, hence everyone has a role to play in its treatment, control and prevention.

On the album “Sansibilizasyon” I sing about HIV/AIDS to raise awareness on the scourge and fight discrimination on the track # 8 (Sida Pote Jiji Ale). That’s just my 50 cents to the fight.

Operating Room Music May Hamper Communication

Are you a surgeon? If not, do you know a surgeon? Have you ever benefited from a surgery? Do you remember when I told you that currently music controls about 88.9 % ( smile emoticon ) of our life on earth and in the near future this percentage will be 100%? Well….. read this article. Regardless of what people are saying, music cannot and will not be taken off the operating room (OR). If that happens, surgeons will start making mistake like hell, and mortality rate will significantly rise worldwide. Wait a minute, why am I associating music with mortality rate in OR. Wowwwww, music will never stop surprising and impressing us. Don’t you agree?
